Summer Camp at Eagles Rest 2012
Registration is now open for this year’s summer camp at Eagles Rest located in Grandin, FL on 70 beautiful wooded acres. We have a small spring fed lake, lots of trails for hiking and horse riding, arena, barn, cabin, kitchen facilities, pavilion and grill. A great country atmosphere.
Camp provides boys and girls between the ages of 8 and 15 opportunities in bible study, horse riding, arts and crafts, campfires, riflery, swimming, games, kayaking, archery and other fun activities.
Our summer program includes day camps for boys and girls and overnight camping for girls only. We have a wonderful staff of trained counselors that work hard to ensure your child of an exciting, fun filled experience.
Overnight campers enjoy 3 meals a day with afternoon snacks. They also have evening activities such as scavenger hunts, treasure seeking, night time horse rides, Glow in the dark party, campfires with s’ mores and more. The horse experience for overnighters includes lessons on everything from saddling, grooming, nutrition, safety around horses, how to talk ‘Horse’, extended trail rides, swimming with your horse, etc. They will also experience bareback riding, English riding, western riding, games on horseback, a ‘fox’ hunt, and more.
Overnight camp is limited to 12 girls per week and the cost is $400 per week. A week is defined as arriving Sunday between 5:00 pm—6:00 pm and pick up on Friday no later than 7:00 pm.
Day camp is from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm and includes afternoon snack. CAMPERS BRING THEIR OWN LUNCH. Drinks will be provided. Campers will participate in all activities as overnight campers except they will only ride horses once a day. They will also ride bareback, English and western and learn horse safety.
Day camp is for girls and boys and space is not limited. Cost for day camp is $100 per week and starts from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm, Monday through Friday.
ALL CAMPERS ARE REQUIRED TO WEAR AN APPROVED HORSE RIDING HELMET AND BOOTS to be around the horses. We recommend that you purchase your own helmet but we do have a few available. Please mark your helmet with your childs name.
